Description
American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist (X-Ray Tech) with 2+ years of experience for a 13-week travel assignment offering 3x12-hour day shifts.
Details
- Community hospital setting with a variety of work environments including Adult Acute Care, Adult and Pediatric Outpatient, ED, ICU, NICU, PICU, and OR
- Performs a wide range of X-Ray studies including upper and lower extremity, spine and pelvis, chest and thorax, abdomen/GI, head, and trauma imaging
- Fluoroscopy studies include arthrography, barium swallow/esophagus, myelography, upper GI series, and enema studies
- Mobile and surgical imaging including C-arm procedures and portable chest/abdomen
- Uses GE X-Ray equipment and PACS
- Meditech Expanse EMR — experience strongly preferred
- 3x12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Floating within clinical scope may be required based on facility needs
- Local candidates accepted at the local rate within an 80-mile radius
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of X-Ray Technologist experience preferred; 1 year minimum required
- Current ARRT (R) and BLS certifications required
- Valid state or compact radiography license required in-hand prior to start — license required if applicable
- Driver's license required for consideration
- Pending state licenses are not accepted
- Proficiency with GE equipment and PACS
- Meditech Expanse experience strongly preferred
- Experience across multiple imaging modalities and work settings including acute care, ED, OR, ICU, and pediatric environments
Additional Information
- Perform diagnostic X-Ray imaging across a broad range of anatomical regions and patient populations, including adult and pediatric acute and outpatient cases
- Responsibilities include preparation and/or administration of contrast media, radiation safety practices, infection prevention, isolation precautions/PPE, and starting peripheral IVs
- First-time travelers may be considered depending on experience level
- Mandatory online modules are required for clearance prior to start and are completed on a non-billable basis (estimated 1–2 hours)
- Holiday availability must be indicated at the time of submission
- RTO requests of more than one week are not accepted
- Travel experience is not required
