Description

American Traveler is hiring a Mammography Technologist for a 13-week outpatient assignment at a comprehensive breast center, performing screening and diagnostic mammography with no biopsy requirement.

Details

• Outpatient breast center setting, with potential support at a satellite location
• Breast center work includes both screening and diagnostic mammography; satellite location work is screening mammography only
• No biopsy procedures required for this role
• Patient caseload of 10–15 patients
• Day shift with rotating start times: 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM, or 9:30 AM–6:00 PM (5x8-hour shifts)
• During holiday weeks, schedule shifts to 4x10-hour shifts
• Occasional Saturday shifts required
• When working mobile, hours may vary between 6:30 AM and 7:00 PM

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of mammography experience
• Active ARRT (R) and ARRT (M) certifications required
• Active BLS required
• Ohio Department of Health (ODH) license required if applicable
• Experience with screening mammography, diagnostic mammography, digital mammography, and 3D mammography
• Proficiency with Digital Hologic (Tomo) equipment preferred
• 2 professional references required: at least 1 must be from a manager, director, or formal leadership role (e.g., supervisor); no coworker references accepted

Additional Information

• First-time travelers will be considered for this position
• Local candidates are accepted
• Former employees are eligible to apply once they have been away from the facility for 6 months or more; current employees at any Ohio State University hospital location are not eligible
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted prior to or at the time of consideration and built into the contract, limited to 7 days or less
• Ohio state fingerprinting is required and must be completed promptly upon contract signing — candidates outside Ohio but within driving distance must travel to an Ohio fingerprinting location; those at greater distances will be mailed a fingerprinting packet to complete urgently
• Parking is available on-site through CampusParc, with multiple permit options at varying price points
