Description
American Traveler is hiring a Vascular Ultrasound Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience and RVT or RVS certification for a 13-week outpatient clinic assignment with weekday day shifts and no call, float, or weekend requirements.

- Outpatient vascular diagnostics clinic setting
- Adult patient population
- Caseload of 8–10 studies per tech per day across 4 rooms
- Vascular ultrasound procedures include Carotid Duplex, AAA, Venous Insufficiency, Renal Artery Duplex, Upper and Lower Venous Duplex, Mesenteric, PVR, and UE/LE Arterial Duplex
- Equipment includes Philips ultrasound systems, Parks Flo-Lab, and Agfa
- Epic EMR experience is required
- 5x8-hour day shifts, Monday–Friday, 7:45 AM–5:00 PM
- No call, float, or weekend requirements
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant vascular ultrasound experience required
- ARDMS RVT required; candidates with RVS will be considered as a screen
- Current BLS required
- License required if applicable
- Required vascular skills include arterial mapping, carotid studies, Doppler studies, peripheral vascular resistance, renal artery duplex, upper extremity arterial, and upper extremity venous studies
- Proficiency with Philips ultrasound equipment, Parks Flo-Lab, and Agfa
- Epic EMR experience required
- Experience with adult patient population required
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are accepted; a lower pay rate applies
- Candidates who previously worked at this facility or its affiliated health system as permanent, PRN, or EP staff must wait 12 months before applying as a traveler; prior employment must be disclosed at time of consideration
- Up to 7 days of RTO may be auto-approved provided it does not fall on a holiday; additional RTO requires facility approval
- No RTO is permitted during the first week of the assignment due to orientation
- Candidates must be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays
- RTO cannot be requested after signing
- Orientation hours are 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
- The start date is subject to change based on trainer and class availability; travelers may begin mid-week and must be fully available during the first week with no other commitments
- Pre-start online modules are required (approximately 4–5 hours for non-acute roles) and must be completed prior to the start date and annually thereafter
- Two supervisor or manager professional references from within the past 2 years are highly preferred; references may be pending at time of consideration but are required prior to start
- Royal blue scrubs required; not provided by the facility
- An interview with the hiring manager is required prior to placement
