Description

American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist with at least 1 year of experience for a night shift travel contract at a Magnet-designated, Level II Trauma teaching hospital in Saint Cloud, MN.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting within a Magnet-designated, Level II Trauma teaching hospital with 479 staffed beds
• MRI department covering a broad range of imaging including abdomen/pelvis, head and neck, spine, musculoskeletal, chest, and cardiovascular studies
• Procedures include MRA, MRV, MRCP, CINE (CSF flow study), diffusion imaging, perfusion, gradient echo, spin echo, and advanced post-processing techniques
• Equipment includes GE and Siemens MRI scanners and PACS
• ER/Trauma experience required with coverage from the MRI department
• Charting via Epic (required)
• 3x12-hour night shifts, 5:30 PM – 6:00 AM, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday
• Every Sunday shift is required

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of MRI Technologist experience
• Active ARRT (R) certification and current BLS required
• ARRT (MR) certification preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• ER/Trauma experience required
• Experience with abdomen and pelvis imaging required
• Teaching hospital experience preferred; community hospital experience required
• Level I or Level II Trauma experience preferred
• Proficiency with a wide range of MRI procedures including musculoskeletal, neurological, vascular, and body imaging
• Ability to perform contrast media preparation and administration, and start peripheral IVs
• First-time travelers will be considered
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Perform a full range of MRI examinations including brain, spine, abdomen/pelvis, MSK, chest, and cardiovascular studies using GE and Siemens equipment with PACS
• Advanced imaging techniques include CINE, diffusion, perfusion, gradient echo, spin echo, MIP, multiplanar reconstruction, and ADC mapping
• Travelers must reside more than 25 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
• Former permanent employees of this facility must have been separated for at least 9 months before being eligible to return as a traveler
• Maximum of 7 days RTO permitted; no RTO during the first 2 weeks of the assignment, and all RTO must be disclosed at the time of submission
• Holiday coverage is required as needed by the facility
• All travelers must complete Minnesota Livescan fingerprinting in person in Minnesota within 48 hours of signing — this is a state requirement with no exceptions, and travelers are responsible for their own travel arrangements
• Required lab work must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years are required for consideration
• A full 7-year work history with all gaps explained is required
