Description

American Traveler is hiring a dual Cath Lab / IR Technologist with at least 1 year of experience for a Level 1 Trauma, Magnet teaching hospital setting requiring proficiency across cardiac, neuro-interventional, and vascular procedures.

Details

  • Dual Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology role in a 500-bed Magnet, academic teaching, Level 1 Trauma center
  • 4x10-hour shifts with variable days of the week, including weekends, and variable start times; some weeks may require 8- or 10-hour shifts
  • Schedule is posted in advance on the 15th of each month
  • 4–5 on-call shifts per month required
  • Daily caseload covers 4 angio suites and 2 ORs
  • Cardiac procedures include STEMI, PCI, and diagnostic catheterizations
  • Neuro-interventional procedures include stroke interventions, coil embolizations, AVM treatments, and diagnostic cerebrals
  • Vascular procedures include run-offs, TEVAR, EVAR, and peripheral angiography
  • Body/IR procedures include CVC placement, drains, and embolizations
  • Charting via Epic (experience required)
  • No floating to sister facilities

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a dual Cath Lab / IR role
  • Active WA Rad Tech License required; pending WA state license accepted for consideration
  • ARRT (R) and BLS required; ACLS and ARRT Advanced Certification preferred
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • COVID vaccination and booster required — no exceptions
  • Proficiency with cardiac cath lab procedures including PCI, PTCA, left/right heart catheterization, hemodynamic monitoring, IABP, and Impella
  • Proficiency with neuro procedures including carotid angiography, embolization, thrombolysis/thrombectomy, and stent placement
  • Proficiency with vascular procedures including endovascular interventions, TIPS, dialysis graft interventions, and upper/lower extremity angiography
  • Proficiency with IR/body procedures including IVC filter placement/removal, embolization, biliary drainage, nephrostomy, and chest tube placement
  • Ability to scrub and maintain sterile field
  • Experience with Philips and Siemens equipment; PACS system experience required
  • 2 supervisory references required for consideration
  • License required if applicable

Additional Information

  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Local candidates are accepted with no radius restriction
  • Teaching hospital and Level 1 Trauma experience preferred
  • Prior UW Health staff must have an 18-month separation from the facility before returning as a traveler
  • RTO is limited to no more than 6 days for the contract; RTO cannot be requested during the first 2 weeks (orientation), and should otherwise be kept to a minimum
  • Block scheduling cannot be accommodated
  • Pre-start orientation modules are required (approximately 2–3 hours for Allied); if WA suicide prevention training is required, an additional 6 hours of modules apply
  • Facility-provided scrubs
  • Onsite parking is available for a daily fee; an offsite parking option approximately 1 mile away is also available with weekday shuttle service (5 AM–10 PM, Monday–Friday only)
