Description
American Traveler is hiring a dual Cath Lab/Interventional Radiology Technologist with a minimum of 1 year of experience for a 13-week night shift contract at a Magnet, Level I Trauma teaching hospital.
Details
- Magnet-designated, Level I Trauma academic teaching hospital with 500 staffed beds
- Dual Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology role
- Daily caseload covers 4 angio suites and 2 ORs
- Neurological procedures include stroke interventions, coil embolization, AVM treatment, and diagnostic cerebrals
- Cardiac procedures include STEMI, PCI, and diagnostic catheterizations
- Vascular procedures include run-offs, TEVAR, and EVAR
- Body procedures include CVC placement, drain management, and embolization
- 4x10-hour shifts with variable days of the week including weekends and variable start times; schedules posted on the 15th of each month
- Some weeks may require coverage of 8 or 10-hour shifts
- 4–5 on-call shifts per month required
- Charting via Epic
- Facility provides scrubs
- No floating to sister facilities required
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of IR and Cath Lab experience required
- ARRT (R) and BLS required; ACLS and ARRT Advanced Certification preferred
- Active WA State Radiology Technologist license required if applicable; pending WA license accepted
- Epic EMR experience required
- Proficiency in neurological, cardiac, vascular, and body interventional procedures required
- Experience with Philips and Siemens equipment required
- Proficiency in sterile technique and scrubbing required
- Skills in venous access, PICC lines, port management, and central venous line care required
- Experience with endovascular interventions, stent placement, embolization, and angioplasty required
- Teaching hospital and trauma hospital experience preferred
- 2 supervisory references required for consideration
- COVID vaccination and booster required — no exceptions
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are accepted for this position
- Local candidates are accepted with no radius restriction
- Former UW staff must have an 18-month separation from the facility before returning as a traveler
- RTO is limited to no more than 6 days total; RTO cannot be requested during the first 2 weeks of the contract
- Pre-start orientation modules are required (approximately 2–3 hours for Allied); additional hours may apply if WA suicide prevention training is required
- Background disclosures are required at time of consideration
- Candidates float within the hospital per facility policy
- Onsite parking is available at a daily cost; an offsite parking option approximately 1 mile away is available at $10/day with a 10-minute shuttle service (weekdays, 5 AM–10 PM only)
