Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Level III NICU position requiring 2 years of Level III NICU experience and a compact or OK RN license.
Details
- Work in a Level III Neonatal ICU (NICU III) setting
- Cares for neonates across gestational ages, including those under 24-28 weeks, 29-34 weeks, and over 34 weeks
- Patient ratio of 1:2-3
- Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM-7:00 PM
- Weekend requirement of 5 shifts per 6 weeks, with facility-set scheduling
- Floating required within scope to meet facility needs, including to sister Integris facilities within a 75-mile radius
- Uses Epic charting system
- Block scheduling requests are not accommodated
Requirements
- Active RN license (Compact or OK State) required, no pending state licenses accepted
- Current certifications: BLS, NRP/NALS, and STABLE
- Minimum 2 years of Level III NICU experience required
- Skills required include IV therapy, arterial line management, central line care, UAC/UVC management, phototherapy, and ventilator/oscillator management
- Experience with neonatal medication administration and dosage calculations, including surfactants
- Experience managing neonatal sepsis and conducting sepsis work-ups
- Experience with high frequency ventilation and nitric oxide (iNO) therapy
- Travel experience not required
- First-time travelers not accepted
Additional Information
- Provide comprehensive NICU nursing care including patient/family teaching and developmental care
- Support breastfeeding and proper handling of breast milk for NICU patients
- Manage feedings including bottle, breast, and gavage methods, along with tube placement and care
- Must reside more than 75 miles from the contracted facility to be eligible for this position
- Local candidates are not accepted
- Maximum RTO of 5 days per 13-week assignment, with no holiday RTO permitted
- Candidates must have at least 1 year of separation from Integris as a former employee to be eligible
- Floating to other Integris facilities within a 75-mile radius may be required
