Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Long Term Care position in Hawaii, requiring a valid HI RN license and at least 1 year of LTC experience with a flexible, varied shift schedule including weekends and holidays.
Details
- Long Term Care (LTC) facility located on the grounds of a hospital campus
- Performs a wide range of clinical duties including assessments, treatments, medication administration, gastrostomy tube care, urinary catheter care, nebulized treatments, wound vac care, CPAP care, and tracheostomy care
- Assists patients with ADLs and manages admissions and discharges
- Communicates pertinent patient information to attending MDs and NPs
- 8-hour shifts on a varied schedule, including weekends and holidays
- Schedule flexibility is required — no shift preferences can be accommodated
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active Hawaii (HI) RN license required by start of assignment — candidates without one must apply upon offer acceptance
- Current BLS/BCLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
- LTC nursing experience required
Additional Information
- All travelers must report to Employee Health 48–72 hours prior to the start of the assignment; this appointment is held at the facility's Employee Health department and attendance is mandatory
- Travelers should plan to arrive in Hawaii the Thursday before a Monday start date in order to attend the Employee Health appointment on Friday morning
