Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Long Term Care position in Hawaii, requiring a valid HI RN license and at least 1 year of LTC experience with a flexible, varied shift schedule including weekends and holidays.

Details

  • Long Term Care (LTC) facility located on the grounds of a hospital campus
  • Performs a wide range of clinical duties including assessments, treatments, medication administration, gastrostomy tube care, urinary catheter care, nebulized treatments, wound vac care, CPAP care, and tracheostomy care
  • Assists patients with ADLs and manages admissions and discharges
  • Communicates pertinent patient information to attending MDs and NPs
  • 8-hour shifts on a varied schedule, including weekends and holidays
  • Schedule flexibility is required — no shift preferences can be accommodated
  • 13-week contract

Requirements

  • Active Hawaii (HI) RN license required by start of assignment — candidates without one must apply upon offer acceptance
  • Current BLS/BCLS certification required
  • Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
  • LTC nursing experience required

Additional Information

  • All travelers must report to Employee Health 48–72 hours prior to the start of the assignment; this appointment is held at the facility's Employee Health department and attendance is mandatory
  • Travelers should plan to arrive in Hawaii the Thursday before a Monday start date in order to attend the Employee Health appointment on Friday morning
