Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring at least 18 months of permanent MS/Tele experience and an active Ohio or compact RN license.

Details

• Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM–7:30 PM
• Med/Surg Telemetry unit in an acute care hospital setting
• 13-week contract with potential to extend up to 18 consecutive months total
• Local candidates are accepted

Requirements

• Active OH RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Active certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS; must be willing to obtain NIHSS prior to start
• Minimum 18 months of permanent (non-travel) Med/Surg Telemetry experience required
• One recent reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director (including Charge RNs) in the specialty from within the past 12 months required for consideration
• Valid driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
• No open licensing cases or background hits accepted

Additional Information

• ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments are completed during orientation; a passing score is required with a maximum of 2 attempts allowed
• Pre-start orientation modules are required; average completion time ranges from 6–15 hours
• BCI/FBI fingerprinting must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing
• Permanent and per diem candidates who previously worked at a Cleveland Clinic facility must wait 1 year from their end date before returning as a traveler
• RNs are exempt from the facility's nicotine-free policy (exemption is temporary and honored until further notice)
• All RTO requests must be confirmed prior to or at the time of submission, as changes cannot be made after an offer is extended
