Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with strong OB experience for a 13-week day shift contract in Washington State.

Details

• Cardiopulmonary department within a community hospital setting
• Respiratory therapy services provided across patient populations, including obstetrics
• Day shift hours: 0530–1800
• 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Current WA State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license required
• Minimum 3 years of experience required
• Strong OB (obstetrics) experience required
• Active certifications required: BLS/BCLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and RRT
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist, from wheelchair to bed level, and pull 50 lbs from stretcher to bed
• Ability to push a 150 lb loaded stretcher 300 feet
• Ability to lift 5 lbs overhead
• Adequate auditory and visual ability to perform clinical procedures and charting
• DOB and SSN may be required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsible for providing, coordinating, and directing individualized comprehensive respiratory care based on patient assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Reports to the Cardiopulmonary Director; in the Director's absence, reports to the Lead RRT
• Expected to function with minimal supervision once oriented
• All RTO (time off) must be pre-approved and added to the end of the contract
• Facility is located near Pacific Northwest beaches and the Olympic National Forest
