Description
American Traveler is seeking a Mammography Technologist with 2+ years of experience in screening, diagnostic, and stereotactic breast biopsy procedures for a 13-week travel assignment in Las Cruces, NM.
Details
- Outpatient imaging center setting within a Mammography unit
- Procedures include screening and diagnostic mammograms and stereotactic breast biopsies
- GE mammography equipment used
- Documentation systems include Meditech and Change Healthcare PACS
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM MST
- Every other weekend required
- No floating required
- Candidates must live 60+ miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of mammography experience required
- ARRT (R)(M) certification required
- Active NM State License required (license required if applicable)
- Current BLS certification required (AHA-issued)
- Experience in screening mammography, diagnostic mammography, and stereotactic breast biopsies
- Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
- All required certifications must be active prior to start
Additional Information
- Perform screening and diagnostic mammograms and stereotactic breast biopsies in an outpatient imaging environment
- All clinical staff on assignment in New Mexico must be fingerprinted prior to hire; travelers may begin on a 14-day waiver while awaiting results but must be supervised during that period
- Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
- Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time
- Orientation is held weekly on Mondays
- Scrubs in any color are required
- The facility is Joint Commission Accredited and holds certifications as a Chest Pain Center with Primary PCI and a Certified Primary Stroke Center
- Las Cruces, NM offers year-round sunshine, proximity to White Sands National Park, the Organ Mountains, and 250+ miles of hiking and biking trails
