Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatric ICU position requiring an OH or compact RN license and 18 months of recent pediatric specialty experience.

Details

• Work in the PICU of a hospital environment
• Pediatric population ranging from all ages up to 25 years
• Specialized care includes epilepsy monitoring, EKGs, and inotropes
• Day/Night rotating shift, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM-7:30 AM or 7:00 AM-7:30 PM)
• Shifts may be subject to rotation based on the operational needs of the facility
• Required to work at least every other holiday

Requirements

• Active RN license (Ohio or Compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (NIHSS preferred)
• Minimum 18 months of permanent experience in the specialty prior to travel assignments
• Minimum 18 months of recent pediatric experience (travel experience acceptable)
• One professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty required (co-worker references not accepted)
• Reference must be from an assignment worked within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provide specialized nursing care to pediatric ICU patients
• ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment completed during orientation with a passing score required
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• Previous permanent or per diem employees must wait 1 year from their previous end date before returning
• Nicotine testing is waived for RNs at this time
