Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a day shift travel contract at a hospital in the Cleveland, OH area, requiring a minimum of 18 months of permanent ICU experience and an active Ohio or compact RN license.

Details

• Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM–7:30 PM
• 13-week contract
• Critical care/ICU unit setting

Requirements

• Active OH RN license or active compact state RN license currently in hand
• Active AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required (must be in hand; nothing pending accepted)
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Minimum 18 months of permanent (non-travel) ICU experience required
• One reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the ICU specialty from an assignment worked within the past 12 months is required for consideration
• A valid driver's license and Social Security card are required for consideration
• No open background check cases; facility does not accept any license hits

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates are accepted
• BCI/FBI fingerprinting must be completed within 48 hours of signing a contract
• ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments are required during orientation; candidates have a maximum of 2 attempts to pass each
• PBDS Assessment is waived
• Nurses are exempt from the facility's nicotine-free requirement (exemption is temporary and honored until further notice)
• Pre-start online modules are required and average 6–15 hours in total
• Permanent and per diem employees of Cleveland Clinic cannot return to a Cleveland Clinic facility as a traveler until at least 1 year after their previous end date
• All requested time off must be disclosed prior to or during the interview process
• A traveler may only hold one active assignment within the Cleveland Clinic Health System at a time
