Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a free-standing emergency department, requiring NC or compact RN licensure and ACLS, PALS, BLS, and NIH certifications.

Details

• Work in the Emergency Room of a free-standing emergency department (FSED) at a Joint Commission accredited Duke Lifepoint hospital
• 11-bed unit with a 4:1 patient ratio
• Night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Rotating weekend hours required
• No on-call requirements
• Rare floating to Henderson ED may be required
• Uses Paragon EHR system

Requirements

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 1+ years of ER nursing experience required
• Skilled in IV administration, critical care, and drip management
• ER and critical care experience preferred
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
• Active Nursys licensure verification required at time of consideration
• Copies of required certifications must be provided for consideration

Additional Information

• Serves the region's largest and most comprehensive ED, which includes a dedicated 33-bed psychiatric unit
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be eligible for the travel rate
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full-time while on assignment
