Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Oncology RN for a chemotherapy treatment nurse position in an ambulatory Hematology/Oncology setting, requiring chemo certification and a current MA RN license.
Details
- Ambulatory Hematology/Oncology unit (Hem/Onc Shapiro 9)
- Role focuses on chemotherapy administration to adult oncology patients in a treatment area setting
- Monday through Friday schedule with no weekend or holiday shifts
- 10-hour day shifts, 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM, 30 hours per week
- 26-week contract
- No floating required
- No charge nurse responsibilities required
Requirements
- Active MA RN license currently in hand
- Chemo certification required
- Minimum 2 years of oncology nursing experience
- Chemotherapy administration experience required
- Ambulatory care setting experience required
- Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions accepted)
- COVID vaccine and booster required (medical exemptions accepted)
Additional Information
- Primary responsibility is administering chemotherapy to adult patients in an outpatient treatment area
- Orientation is held weekly on Mondays (excluding holidays)
- Hiring manager interview required prior to offer
- All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at the time of consideration
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted for this position
- Previous employees (travel, permanent, or per diem) of any Beth Israel Lahey Health facility must have a minimum one-year break in service before being considered for this role
- Parking in the Boston area can cost up to $43/day and is at the candidate's expense
