Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a minimum of 2 years of ED experience, at least 2 prior travel contracts, and a WI or compact RN license.

Details

• Night shift position, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• 13-week contract
• Emergency Department setting within a hospital environment
• Patient population includes critical care, psychiatric, and pediatric patients
• Epic EMR experience required
• Every other weekend (EOW) required, or as needed based on department needs
• Holiday rotation shared with regular staff
• Floating may be required within skill set to onsite units or to facilities within a 40-mile radius

Requirements

• Active WI or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of ED experience required
• At least 2 prior travel nursing contracts required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (all must be AHA-issued)
• TNCC certification required (renewed every 4 years)
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required (Group A renewed yearly; Groups B–F renewed every 2 years)
• Experience caring for critical care patients with sound clinical judgment and documentation practices
• Ability to care for psychiatric and pediatric patient populations
• Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a valid US home address
• Two professional references required
• Copy of Driver's License required for consideration
• Full Social Security Number and full date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provides emergency nursing care across a diverse patient population including critical care, psychiatric, and pediatric patients
• Must demonstrate strong team collaboration skills with clear and timely communication, and appropriately escalate concerns to ensure patient safety
• MOAB (Management of Assaultive Behavior) certification is optional but encouraged; online training resources are available
• Local candidates are accepted; however, candidates residing within the facility's radius may be subject to a reduced pay rate
• COVID vaccination is not required
