Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg night shift position requiring a NM or Compact RN license and Epic EMR experience.

Details

• 13-week assignment at a hospital-based Med/Surg unit
• Night shift schedule: 4x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
• Option to work 36 or 48 hours per week
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Epic EMR required; experience preferred
• Floating required to like units within scope of practice based on facility need
• Every other weekend (EOW) required

Requirements

• Active NM or Compact RN license required; pending NM/Compact license accepted if obtained prior to start
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1-2 years of Med/Surg RN experience required
• Proficiency in IV therapy, peripheral line care, blood product administration, and oxygen management
• Skills in Med/Surg, MS/Tele, renal, orthopedic, and cardiac monitoring settings preferred
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Previous permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• No travel pairs or groups accepted
• Travelers will receive a brief orientation on any float units
• No RTO during the first week of orientation; no more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved
• All RTO requests must be disclosed upfront
• Travel pairs and groups are not accepted for this position
