Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an LTAC night shift position requiring prior Med/Surg or Telemetry experience and Epic proficiency.
Details
- Long-term acute care (LTAC) hospital setting with 66 staffed beds
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM start)
- Every other weekend required
- Patient ratio of 1:5
- Floating may be required within the hospital or to a sister campus depending on assignment
- No on-call responsibilities
- Charting performed in Epic (experience required)
Requirements
- Active NC or compact RN license currently in hand (no pending licenses accepted)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg or Telemetry RN experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Proficiency with Epic EMR required
- LTAC experience preferred
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the main campus to be eligible for this position
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- Skills include IV therapy, central/PICC line management, arterial line management, blood product administration, wound care/wound vac, telemetry monitoring, interpretation of dysrhythmias, oxygen administration, feeding tube care, heparin protocols, and isolation precautions/PPE
- Preferred skills include tracheostomy care, chest tube management, HFNC, ABG interpretation, pre/post hemodialysis management, vasoactive and cardiac drip titration, and CBI
- Candidates must complete pre-start compliance modules (approximately 4–10 hours, non-paid)
- RTO is capped at 4 days per contract; only 1 holiday can be approved
- Previous employees must have been separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
- Night shift travelers may extend up to twice (3 contracts total) before being required to wait 6 months to return
- Scrub color requirement: royal blue and white
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
