Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Cath Lab RN with a minimum of 2 years of Cardiac Cath and IR experience for a Day shift position requiring on-call availability.

Details

• Work in an Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab within a Short Term Acute Care hospital setting
• May float to Interventional Radiology (IR) within scope
• Patient ratio of 1:1
• Day shift schedule, 4x10-hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• On-call requirement of 1 week on, 3 weeks off
• Weekend requirements to be discussed during interview
• Cerner EMR used for charting

Requirements

• Active FL RN license or compact license required at time of submittal
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of Cardiac Cath Lab and IR experience required
• Cerner charting experience required
• Conscious sedation skills required
• Experience with Cardiac Cath Lab procedures including diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, PCI, cardiac stent placement, IABP placement/removal, Impella insertion, and TEE
• Experience with Electrophysiology procedures including cardioversion and pacemaker insertion
• Proficiency in sheath removal/monitoring and vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose)
• Skilled in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Experience administering and monitoring procedural sedation and various cardiac medications
• COVID-19 vaccination required (medical or religious exemptions accepted)

Additional Information

• First-time travelers accepted only if experienced as a Cath Lab RN
• Circulate procedures and manage patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures
• Administer and monitor IV therapy, blood products, and emergency medications as needed
• Royal Blue scrub color required
• Smoke-free facility
• Local candidates accepted within 75-100 miles
• Must live at least 100 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rate, per facility radius policy
• May float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals
• No RTO allowed in contract; time off requests may be discussed during interview
• Former permanent employees must wait at least 1 year before returning as a travelers
• Return travelers are currently only being accepted into ICU, MICU, CVICU, ED, PCU, and MS/Tele specialties
