Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel Interventional Radiology Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of IR experience for a 13-week assignment at a Magnet-designated, Level 4 Trauma teaching hospital in the Pacific Northwest.
Details
- Interventional Radiology unit within a 281-bed Magnet-designated teaching hospital and Level 4 Trauma center
- 4x10 hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM, with variable days off
- On-call required approximately 5–6 days per month, including one weekend per month
- Charting performed in Epic; Epic experience required
- Floating within the hospital is required; no floating to sister hospitals
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate with no radius requirement
- Procedures include a comprehensive range of abdominal, pelvic, genitourinary, vascular, and neurological IR studies and interventions
- Performs procedures such as angioplasty, embolization, EVAR, TEVAR, TIPS, IVC filter placement/removal, nephrostomy, PICC/central venous access, thrombolysis/thrombectomy, and more
- Works with Fluoroscopy equipment; Philips and Siemens systems (Philips preferred)
- Ultrasound experience preferred
- Hybrid OR and Interventional Radiology work settings; Hybrid OR experience preferred
- Uses PACS system and maintains sterile technique throughout procedures
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience required
- ARRT (R) certification required; ARRT Advanced Cert, ARRT CI, and ARRT VI preferred
- BLS required
- WA state license required if applicable
- Epic EMR experience required
- Teaching hospital and trauma hospital experience preferred
- Proficiency with IR procedural skills including scrubbing, sterile field maintenance, equipment setup, vascular closure systems, and room circulator duties
- Experience with 3D imaging preferred
- COVID vaccination and booster required — no exceptions
- Two supervisory references required for consideration
- Must disclose any background check hits
Additional Information
- First-time travelers accepted with a minimum of 2 years of IR experience
- Candidates with prior employment at a UW facility must have an 18-month separation before returning as a traveler
- RTO is limited to a maximum of 1 week; no RTO permitted during the first 2 weeks (including orientation week)
- Pre-start orientation modules are required (approximately 2–3 hours for Allied Health professionals); additional WA suicide prevention training may be required for those working with MSL in WA
- Scrubs are provided
- Parking is available on-site at an additional cost
