Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Oncology RN for a hybrid ambulatory clinic and care coordinator role in Charlottesville, VA, working Monday–Friday days with no weekends required.

Details

  • Ambulatory oncology clinic setting adjacent to a major academic medical center
  • Hybrid role combining direct patient care with a care coordinator component
  • Day shift, Monday–Friday, 8 hours with flexible start times (8:00–4:30, 9:00–5:30, or 10:00–6:30)
  • No weekend shifts required
  • Every other holiday required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Float within scope of practice as needed

Requirements

  • Active VA RN license required; pending license accepted if in hand before start
  • Current BLS certification required
  • ONS/ONCC certification preferred
  • 3 years of oncology nursing experience preferred
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • BMT experience preferred
  • Chemo certification preferred but not required
  • BSN preferred
  • Two professional references required for consideration
  • Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Additional Information

  • Role includes both direct oncology patient care and care coordination responsibilities
  • Preferred experience in BMT, infusion center, or radiation oncology settings
  • Up to 40 hours of RTO available per 13-week contract; all RTO must be disclosed upfront
  • Candidates who have previously worked at this health system as permanent staff or internal travelers require a 1-year separation and leadership approval before returning
  • External travelers cannot exceed 365 total assignment days at this facility and are not eligible to return after reaching that limit
  • Orientation includes specialty-specific modules completed on-site
  • Local candidates are accepted for this position
  • All license actions or history will be reviewed by facility leadership prior to moving forward
