Description
American Traveler is seeking an MRI Technologist with a minimum of 1 year of hospital-based MRI experience and required Siemens MRI proficiency for a 20-week acute care travel assignment.
Details
- Acute care hospital setting at a Level II Trauma Center
- MRI department with 3 scanners in the clinic (attached to the hospital) and 1 scanner in the hospital
- Approximately 38 scans per day across a range of studies, including Level II trauma imaging
- 7 staff on shift until 4:30 PM; 2 staff after 4:30 PM; weekends staffed with one tech and an assistant
- Required to float between inpatient and the attached clinic MRI areas
- IV insertion required as part of routine duties
- 10-hour day shifts on a 7-on/7-off rotation schedule (40 hrs/30 hrs over a two-week period)
- Weekday shifts: Wednesday–Thursday, Monday–Tuesday, 12:00 PM–10:00 PM; Weekend shifts: Friday–Sunday, 8:00 AM–6:00 PM
- Weekends and holidays fall within the standard 7-on rotation
- On-call required every other Friday during the 7-on period, from Friday 6:00 PM through Saturday 8:00 AM
- Charting via Cerner (transitioning to Epic); Siemens PACS used for imaging
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of MRI experience in a hospital setting (clinic-only experience not accepted)
- Experience with Siemens MRI equipment is required
- Active ARRT certification required
- Active BLS (AHA) certification required
- License required if applicable
- 2 references required: 1 supervisor reference within the last 12 months of relevant experience, and 1 peer or supervisor reference from within the last 3 years in the specialty
Additional Information
- Performs a full range of MRI studies, including Level II trauma cases
- Lead tech present during day shifts; assistants available on weekends
- Up to 1 week of department-specific orientation provided
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Duo assignments are accepted
- Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have an end date at least 6 months prior to their application date
- Candidates whose permanent address is within 80 miles of the facility are considered local and may be subject to a reduced travel pay rate
