Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Ortho/Neuro Unit position requiring a TX or compact RN license and at least 2 years of experience.

Details

• Work on a 15-bed Ortho/Neuro nursing unit within a hospital setting
• 13-week contract assignment
• Day shift schedule from 06:45 to 19:15
• Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required
• Current BLS certification (AHA) required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification preferred
• Current license and primary source verification (Nursys) required within 30 days prior to start

Additional Information

• Provide direct nursing care and implement/monitor patient care plans in accordance with established policies and protocols
• Serve as primary coordinator across disciplines to ensure well-coordinated patient care
• Carry out physician and nursing orders while assessing and coordinating discharge planning needs
• Requires strong critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
• Navy or maroon scrubs required
• Radius rule applies which may affect pay rate for local candidates
