Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with pediatric, NICU, and adult ER & critical care experience for a 13-week day shift travel assignment at a regional medical center.

Details

  • Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)
  • Serves a mixed patient population including pediatric, NICU, and adult critical care and emergency patients
  • Respiratory care is delivered across all care sites within the facility

Requirements

  • Active RRT license required (no pending licenses); license required if applicable
  • Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a US hospital setting in a respiratory therapy specialty
  • Experience in pediatric, NICU, and adult ER & critical care settings is required
  • US Social Security Number required for consideration
  • Two manager or supervisor references preferred, verifying experience within the previous 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility

Additional Information

  • Administers respiratory care per physician prescription, including diagnostic evaluation, patient management, education, rehabilitation, and cardiopulmonary care
  • Responsibilities include obtaining and analyzing physiological specimens, interpreting physiologic data, and performing cardiopulmonary tests and studies
  • Applies and monitors medical gases, environmental control systems, mechanical ventilatory support, artificial airway care, bronchopulmonary hygiene, and pharmacological agents related to respiratory care
  • Provides hemodynamic cardiovascular support and cardiopulmonary rehabilitation
  • All certifications must be from the American Heart Association (AHA)
