Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with pediatric, NICU, and adult ER & critical care experience for a 13-week night shift travel assignment.

• 13-week travel contract
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)
• Pediatric, NICU, and adult ER & critical care patient populations

Requirements

• Active RRT license required (no pending licenses; license required if applicable)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a U.S. hospital in respiratory therapy
• Experience in pediatric, NICU, and adult ER & critical care settings required
• Current AHA certifications: ACLS and BLS
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• U.S. Social Security Number required for consideration
• Two manager or supervisor references preferred, verifying experience within the past 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer

Additional Information

• Administer respiratory care per physician prescription, including diagnostic evaluation, management, patient education, and rehabilitation for patients with cardiopulmonary deficiencies
• Responsibilities include obtaining and analyzing physiological specimens, interpreting physiologic data, and performing cardiopulmonary tests and studies
• Apply and monitor medical gases, environmental control systems, mechanical ventilatory support, artificial airway care, bronchopulmonary hygiene, and pharmacological agents related to respiratory care
• Provide cardiopulmonary rehab and hemodynamic cardiovascular support across all care sites
• AHA-issued certifications are required; certifications from other providers will not be accepted
