Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 2+ years of ED experience and multiple trauma-related certifications.

Details

Emergency Department-Trauma unit in a hospital setting
Higher volume of behavioral health patients
Night shift schedule from 19:00-07:30
13-week assignment

Requirements

Active KS or compact RN license required
BLS certification (AHA) required
ACLS certification (AHA) required
PALS certification (AHA) required
TNCC certification required, renewed every 4 years
NIH Stroke Scale certification required with periodic renewal
CPI or MOAB De-Escalation training required, including online and on-site portions
Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
Must be able to work with minimal supervision in a high-stress environment

Additional Information

Provide direct nursing care per established protocols in a high-acuity ED setting
Coordinate care across disciplines and communicate patient status effectively
Carry out physician and nursing orders and assist with discharge planning
Uniform requirement: ceil blue scrubs
CPI/MOAB on-site training portion completed during orientation
Radius rule applies, allowing local candidates at a reduced rate
