Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN Charge Nurse for an Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF) in Dallas, TX, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and an active TX or compact RN license.

Details

50-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital setting with a single nursing floor
Inpatient Rehab Facility (IRF) unit specializing in stroke, amputation, brain injury, neurological conditions, spinal cord injury, and orthopedic injury
Patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:7
Equipment includes IV pumps, EKG machine, bariatric beds, and medication dispensing systems
EMR: Cerner and Epic
Day shift: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM (12-hour shifts)
36 hours per week with every other weekend required
No floating requirements

Requirements

Active TX or compact RN license required
Current AHA certifications required, including BLS
Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing required
Experience with rehab or med-surg nursing
Social Security number required for consideration
Date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

Serves as a Charge RN, requiring strong leadership, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
Common diagnoses and treatments include stroke, amputation, and recovery from major surgeries
The facility is accredited by CIHQ and CARF for its Comprehensive Integrated Inpatient Rehabilitation Program and Stroke Specialty Program
Royal blue scrubs required
Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for this travel position
Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
Full-time employment elsewhere is not permitted during this assignment
