Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring a PA or compact RN license and open heart call coverage.

Details

• Work in the Operating Room department of a Level 1 Trauma tertiary care hospital
• 22-bed unit serving all patient ages
• Common diagnoses/treatments include Ortho, Gyne, OB, Plastics, General, Cardiovascular, Neuro, Urology, Breast, and Podiatry
• 1:1 patient ratios
• Uses EPIC EHR
• Monday through Friday schedule with varied shifts including 9-5, 11-7, 1-9, and 3-11
• Weekend daylight shifts required every other weekend or as needed
• Weekday and weekend open heart call required
• On-call responsibilities approximately one to two times per week in 8-hour increments
• Floating to main OR required as needed

Requirements

• Active RN license (PA or Compact) required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and CPI/HWC
• 1-2 years of RN OR experience required
• Level 1 trauma experience preferred
• Charge RN experience preferred
• Robotic surgery experience preferred
• EPIC EHR experience preferred
• PA Child Abuse History Clearance required
• PA State Police Clearance (PATCH) required
• Fingerprint-based background clearance required (FBI/DHS)

Additional Information

• Provide surgical nursing care across a wide range of specialties including cardiovascular, ortho, neuro, and general surgery
• Work within a Level 1 Trauma Center recognized for clinical excellence
• Blue scrubs provided; casual attire not permitted
• Candidates must live 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for the travel rate
• Local candidates within 60 miles may be considered at the local rate
• Orientation held weekly on Mondays
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full time while on assignment
