Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Inpatient Rehab RN for a night shift travel contract requiring a PA or compact RN license, Epic proficiency, and a minimum of 2 years of rehab experience.

Details

• Acute inpatient rehabilitation unit within a community hospital setting
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Epic EMR experience required
• Patients include CVA/stroke, neurological conditions, orthopedic and total joint replacement, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury cases
• Core required skills include IV therapy, administration of blood and blood products, central line/PICC line care, venous blood draws, anticoagulation therapy, blood glucose monitoring, insulin protocols, fall risk assessment, wound care, and tracheostomy care/management
• Preferred skills include mobilization techniques, orthopedic assistive devices, neurological assessments (stroke scale, Parkinson's, neuromuscular disease), feeding tube management, and incentive spirometry

Requirements

• Active PA RN license or compact RN license valid in Pennsylvania required at time of consideration
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of inpatient rehab nursing experience required
• Community hospital experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• PA Fingerprints (Childline) required — results must be active within 12 months of start date; candidates without current results must complete fingerprinting at the earliest available date as processing can take up to 2 weeks
• SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• 2 professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years required
• Copies of certifications required for consideration
• A pass/fail clinical exam is required for clearance; candidates have a maximum of 3 attempts to pass

Additional Information

• Teaching hospital experience is preferred but not required
• Charge nurse experience is preferred
• Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are eligible but subject to a local rate differential
• All RTO must be disclosed upfront; RTO requests submitted after consideration will not be accepted, and block scheduling cannot be accommodated
• Labs must be completed within 48 hours of signing
• Modules are completed during orientation
