Description

American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer with general and vascular ultrasound experience for a 13-week evening shift contract at an Intermountain Health facility in Grand Junction, CO.

Details

• Hospital-based ultrasound department setting
• Procedures include all general and vascular ultrasound (excluding ABIs, segmental pressure, echo, and breast)
• 4x10-hour evening shifts per week
• On-call requirements to be discussed during the interview
• EMR: Epic (charting)

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in ultrasound sonography required
• ARDMS registration required
• BLS certification required (AHA only; must not expire prior to start date)
• Associate's degree required
• Proficiency with general and vascular ultrasound procedures
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Effective communication skills within a multidisciplinary team
• License required if applicable
• DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform ultrasound procedures per physician orders, including patient positioning, immobilization, and transfer
• Submit required images and clinical information to the Radiologist for interpretation and evaluate image quality
• Follow sterile technique and infection prevention protocols, and maintain department supplies
• Permanent staff must have been separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
