Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular Surgical ICU position requiring at least one year of recent CSICU experience and Epic proficiency.
Details
- Work in a 12-bed Cardiovascular Surgical ICU (CSICU) within a hospital setting
- Care for critically ill patients recovering from cardiac surgery, vascular surgery, and other intensive care interventions
- Patient population ranges from young adults to geriatric patients
- Staffing ratio of 1:1 for direct recovery of open heart patients and 1:2 for other ICU patients
- Night shift schedule from 7:00pm to 7:00am
- 36 hours per week across three 12-hour shifts
- Every other weekend (EOW) required
- Every other holiday (EOH) required
- No on-call responsibilities
Requirements
- Active RN license in North Carolina (NC or compact) currently in hand
- Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC) required
- ACLS certification required
- Minimum of one year of recent CSICU experience required
- Minimum of one year of overall nursing experience required
- Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited nursing school required; BSN or MSN preferred
- Epic EMR experience required
Additional Information
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to complex, critically ill cardiovascular surgical patients
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate and evaluate patient care plans
- Perform bedside point-of-care testing as part of patient care
- Participate in discharge planning and patient/family education
- Contribute to unit performance improvement and safety initiatives
- Maintain compliance with healthcare standards, policies, and regulatory guidelines
