Description

American Traveler is hiring a Travel Echo Technologist for a cardiac ultrasound unit, requiring RCS certification and 1-3 years of experience across neonatal to geriatric patient populations.

Details

• Position is located in a main hospital building, first floor cardiac ultrasound department
• 2-bed unit with a staff of 7 echo technologists
• Day shift staffing of 2-3 technologists; evening staffing of 1-2 technologists with no overnight shifts; 1-2 staff on weekends
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Procedures include complete 2D echocardiography
• GE ultrasound equipment used
• Meditech Expanse is the documentation system
• Shift hours are 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM
• Call requirement of 3-7 nights per month for emergency stat echo coverage
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of Echo Tech experience required, with active experience within the last 6 months
• RCS (Registered Cardiac Sonographer) certification required
• Current BLS certification required (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of start)
• Experience with neonatal through geriatric patient populations
• License required if applicable
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Two professional references required (Florida position)
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible
• Ability to complete echo studies in under 45 minutes per patient is preferred
• Must be able to function independently and adapt to a fast-paced, fluid work environment
• Must be available for on-call emergency stat echo coverage
