Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Long Term Care position at a rehabilitation and nursing facility in Vermont, requiring a minimum of 3 years of LTC experience and prior travel nursing experience.

Details

• Long-term care setting within a rehabilitation and nursing facility
• Unit: Evergreen Place
• All units include dementia patients; comfort working with this population is essential
• 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• 36 hours per week, Monday through Sunday (no block schedules)
• Floating to other units is required as needed
• Minimum of every other weekend required, with schedule adjusted to meet unit and patient care needs

Requirements

• Active RN license in Vermont or a compact state; NY license accepted with proof of pending licensure included
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Minimum of 3 years of RN experience required
• Prior long-term care (LTC) experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Comfort and experience working with dementia patients required
• 7-year background check (nationwide, county court searches, FACIS 3, and sex offender) required within 18 months of start date
• FACIS 3 and VCIC checks required within 30 days of start
• Two professional references from a Nurse Manager and/or Supervisor required — at least one from the past 6 months, and one from within the past year of employment
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Public transportation is not accessible in this area; a personal or rental vehicle is strongly recommended
• Vehicles should be equipped with all-season or snow tires from November through April
• All pre-planned time off must be communicated upfront; time-off requests will not be honored once the assignment begins
• Pay rates are tiered based on distance from the facility: Travel (101+ miles), Radius (51–100 miles), and Local (50 miles or less)
• Local candidates are eligible to be considered for this position
• Complete work history is required, including bed count, EMR, and facility type
• Employment gaps of more than 90 days must be explained
