Description
American Traveler is hiring an X-Ray Technician for a Radiology unit requiring 1-3 years of experience and ARRT certification.
Details
- Work in a hospital Radiology department
- Monday-Friday schedule, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM including every other weekend
- 37.5 hours per week, 7.5 hours per day
- One on-call shift required every 3 weeks
- May float to a like unit or sister hospital nearby
- Uses EPIC for charting
Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience as an X-Ray Technician
- Graduate of an accredited Radiography school
- Current NJ State RT License (license required if applicable)
- ARRT certification required
- BLS certification required
- Knowledge of a variety of imaging equipment including setup, utilization, and troubleshooting
- Strong oral and written communication skills
Additional Information
- Perform imaging and treatment procedures in accordance with state, federal, and professional guidelines
- Maintain imaging equipment and assess patient safety and comfort during procedures
- Monitor need for procedure revisions and coordinate daily imaging schedules
- Stay current with trends and advances in clinical practice, healthcare informatics, and imaging technology
