Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Oncology Infusion RN for a day shift position requiring at least one year of oncology experience and an active CO or compact RN license.
Details
- Oncology infusion setting providing IV chemotherapy and related infusion services
- Administers chemotherapy and IV fluids via peripherally inserted central catheters (PICCs)
- Day shift schedule: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active CO or compact RN license currently in hand
- Current BLS certification required
- OCN certification must be obtained within one year of hire
- Minimum of 1 year of oncology nursing experience required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor's Degree (BSN) preferred
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include patient assessment, developing individualized care plans, and revising plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
- Provides patient and family education on post-discharge and post-chemotherapy follow-up care
- Directs and delegates care to other team members while maintaining a safe therapeutic environment
- Documents patient care in the health record in accordance with established standards
- Participates in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
