Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced NICU RN with Level III NICU experience, including micro preemie and high frequency ventilation skills, for a day shift travel assignment in New Jersey.

Details

• Level III NICU setting within a multi-hospital health system
• Couplet care model is practiced, with a Stork RN present on each shift
• Patient ratio is 1:2
• Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00–19:00)
• Every other weekend (EOW) required
• One winter holiday and one summer holiday coverage required
• Floating required among five designated hospitals (Voorhees, Marlton, Mt. Holly, Willingboro, and OLOL) based on staffing needs
• No on-call responsibilities
• Block scheduling is not permitted
• Epic EMR — experience preferred

Requirements

• Active NJ or Compact RN license required — must be currently in hand (pending licenses not accepted)
• Current BLS and NRP certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of NICU experience, with experience within the last 12 months
• Level III NICU experience required
• Experience with micro preemies and high frequency ventilation required
• COVID-19 vaccine required — no exemptions accepted
• Flu vaccine required — no exemptions accepted
• Two current professional references required for consideration
• Agency skills checklist specific to NICU required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are accepted, though experienced travelers are preferred
• No RTO will be accepted after the initial submission; all requests must be submitted upfront
• No RTO during the first week of the assignment
• Candidates must be submitted individually — travel pairs are not accepted
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Candidates living within 50 miles of the primary facility are subject to a local pay rate
• Pre-employment labs must be completed within 48 hours of signing
• Candidates must be clean shaven prior to fit testing before beginning work on the unit
• Orientation modules vary by specialty and must be completed during orientation
