Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Operating Room position at a hospital in Pompton Plains, NJ, requiring a minimum of 3 years of OR experience with the ability to both circulate and scrub across multiple surgical specialties.

• Hospital-based Operating Room setting
• Surgical specialties include orthopedics, robotics, neuro, and more
• Must be able to both circulate and scrub
• AM shift, 7:00 AM – 8:00 PM
• 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week, 36 hours per week
• Floating to a nearby sister hospital may be required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Epic EMR used for charting

Requirements

• Active NJ RN license or compact license currently in hand
• Current BLS certification required
• CNOR certification preferred
• Minimum 3 years of OR experience required
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Ability to both circulate and scrub required
• Epic EMR experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provides perioperative nursing care across a range of surgical specialties including orthopedics, robotics, and neuro
• Performs pre- and post-operative assessments and patient education, including family involvement
• Supports Pre-Admission Testing (PAT) by evaluating orders for appropriateness based on proposed surgery, patient age, and health status
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
• Two professional references are required for consideration
• Travelers who have been on assignment at this facility for one calendar year must take a 30–60 day break before returning
