Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position on a Surgical/GI/Oncology unit, requiring TX or compact RN licensure and 2+ years of experience.

Details

• 30-bed Surgical/GI/Oncology unit
• 13-week assignment
• Night shift schedule from 18:45 to 07:15
• Epic charting system
• Navy or maroon scrubs required

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• BLS certification required (must be AHA)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
• NIH Stroke Scale certification preferred
• Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address

Additional Information

• Provide direct nursing care and implement patient care plans in accordance with established protocols
• Serve as primary coordinator across disciplines for well-coordinated patient care
• Assess and coordinate discharge planning needs with the healthcare team
• Requires strong critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment
• Radius rule applies allowing local candidates at a reduced rate, with mileage varying by state
