Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 4x10 day shift contract, with IR experience required and first-time travelers welcome.
Details
- Interventional Radiology unit in an inpatient/outpatient setting (50/50 split)
- Patient diagnoses include biopsies, GI, GU/Renal, peripheral vascular, pulmonary, CT, endovascular, and stent placement
- Procedures include Y-90 chemo delivery, GI bleeds, TPA, vein sampling, and Phase 2 Recovery
- 4x10 hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- Call required once per week overnight and every 5th or 6th weekend
- Travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state
- EMR: Epic (required)
- Medication system: Pyxis
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of IR experience required
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Proficiency in abdominal/pelvic angiography, aortography, angioplasty, chemoembolization, embolization, ERCP, IVC filter placement and removal, liver biopsy, mesenteric angiogram, paracentesis, renal angiography, stent placement, thoracentesis, and selective visceral angiography
- Proficiency in genitourinary procedures including nephrostomy, gastrostomy, cholecystostomy, cystoscopy, uterine arterial embolization, and renal/ureteral stent placement
- Proficiency in endovascular interventions and use of vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose)
- Ability to scrub and maintain a sterile field, perform equipment setup, and serve as room circulator
- Active professional license required, if applicable
- Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
- Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Former permanent employees of any Providence-affiliated facility must be separated from the health system for a minimum of 3 months before being eligible for a travel position
- Former permanent employees cannot be within 50 miles of the facility to which they are submitting
- Refusal to float between facilities within the state may result in termination of the assignment
- Minimal RTO is strongly preferred for this position
