Description

American Traveler is seeking an MRI Technologist with 2+ years of experience for a 13-week travel assignment at an acute care hospital in Springfield, IL, requiring Cerner proficiency and a broad range of MRI scanning competencies.

Details

• Hospital-based MRI department
• 3x12-hour day shifts, 10:00 AM – 10:30 PM
• Scanning competencies include abdomen/pelvis (MRA, MRV, MRCP), head and neck (brain, cranial nerves, orbits, MRA/MRV), chest, full spine, musculoskeletal (knee, shoulder, hip, TMJ, extremities), and cardiovascular imaging (MR Cardiac, MR Aortogram, MR Pulmonary, peripheral MRA with bilateral runoff)
• Special imaging procedures include CINE, diffusion, gradient echo, perfusion, spectroscopy, MIP, multiplanar reconstruction, and surface coils
• Breast MRI and cardiac MRI experience preferred
• Cerner EMR required
• Siemens equipment experience preferred
• Floating within the hospital or to nearby affiliate facilities is required for all travelers

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of MRI technologist experience
• ARRT (MR) certification preferred
• Active Illinois license required if applicable
• BLS certification required; AHA and Red Cross accepted — RQI cards are not accepted
• Cerner EMR proficiency required
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• First-time travelers are eligible for this position

Additional Information

• Candidates must be willing to work 2 of the 3 major holidays during the assignment
• Up to 5 non-holiday RTO days may be approved; additional RTO requires facility approval
• Former permanent or PRN employees of the facility must have been separated for at least 12 months before being considered as a traveler
• Travel pairs are not accepted at this facility
• Local candidates are accepted for this specialty
• Orientation begins with a virtual, at-home day; all required modules must be completed by 4:00 PM CST on Day 1
• Pre-start compliance requirements including lab appointment, DocuSign documents, and badge photo must be completed within 1 week of contract signing
