Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an Outpatient setting, requiring BLS certification and PA fingerprinting/ChildLine clearance.

Details

• Primarily based at an outpatient rehabilitation center with float coverage to outpatient areas across the campus as needed
• May work between Med Surg, ED, and Geriatric Behavioral Health units
• Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (5x8 hours)
• 13-week assignment length
• Cerner charting system experience preferred
• 1:1 patient ratio experience

Requirements

• BLS certification required
• License required if applicable
• PA fingerprints required prior to start, completed at various locations nationwide
• ChildLine clearance registration required within 48 hours of contract signing
• Lab work must be completed within 72 hours of contract signing
• One supervisory reference from within the past year required for consideration
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
• Experience with acute care and outpatient clinic settings
• Skilled in patient assessment, including AROM/AAROM/PROM, strength testing, pain assessment, and vital sign monitoring
• Proficient in documentation including evaluations, plans of care, and short/long term goals
• Experience with orthopedic conditions such as total hip/knee replacement, low back pain, and post-op shoulder/spinal repair
• Knowledge of cardiopulmonary conditions including COPD and CHF
• Experience with modalities such as E-stim, ultrasound, moist heat, and cryotherapy preferred
• Familiarity with home exercise programs and patient/family education
