Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with neuro experience for a 13-week assignment at a teaching hospital.
Details
- Work in the Interventional Radiology unit at a teaching hospital
- 5x8 hour day shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- 1-2 call shifts per week and one call weekend per month
- Must float within scope of practice as needed
- Uses Siemens equipment and PACS system
- Epic EMR experience required
Requirements
- Current BLS and ARRT (R) certification required, ARRT Advanced Cert preferred
- Neuro experience required
- VA license required if applicable, pending accepted if licensed in another state and in-hand by the Wednesday before start date
- Teaching hospital and Trauma Level I experience preferred
- Prior IR/Neuro IR staff tech experience may be considered in lieu of travel experience
- Proficiency in procedures including angioplasty, embolization, stent placement, chest tube placement, gastrostomy tube placement, IVC filter placement, liver biopsy, mesenteric angiogram, and thoracentesis
- Experience with vascular studies including carotid stenting and upper/lower extremity angiography
- Experience with genitourinary procedures including nephrostomy, ureteral stent placement, and biliary drainage
- BSN preferred
- Two professional references required
- Copies of required certifications required for consideration
Additional Information
- Perform a wide range of interventional radiology procedures including abdominal, pelvic, vascular, genitourinary, and neurological studies
- Complete specialty-specific orientation modules during onboarding
- Maximum of 40 hours RTO per 13-week contract, must be disclosed at time of consideration
- Any vacation time between sign date and start date must be disclosed to arrange an appropriate start date
- Radius requirement of 50 miles applies to this unit, local candidates not accepted
- Previous UVA Health employees must have a 1-year separation and leadership approval before returning as a traveler
- External travelers cannot exceed 365 total assignment days and are not eligible to return once this threshold is reached
