Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a night shift Emergency Department position requiring 2+ years of experience and an active Ohio RRT license.

Details

• >Emergency Department (ED) respiratory therapy position at a hospital main campus
• Night shift schedule (3x12-hour shifts, 19:00-7:30)
• Weekend coverage as needed
• May float to other facility locations as needed
• 13-week assignment length with options for 8 or 12 week terms

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• Active NBRC certification required at time of consideration
• BLS certification required, active and in hand at time of consideration
• Active Ohio RRT license required in hand (license required if applicable)
• ACLS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications required
• Two professional references from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty, from assignments worked within the past 12 months
• Negative 10-panel plus nicotine (cotinine) drug screen required within 12 months of start, updated annually
• Must be nicotine-free as facility is a smoke-free environment with no exceptions

Additional Information

• Provide respiratory therapy services within a fast-paced Emergency Department setting
• Complete pre-start and annual training modules as required by the facility
• Accepts local candidates at the same bill rate
• Background check results will be reviewed by the facility, and any license-related issues are not accepted
• Fingerprinting (BCI/FBI) must be completed within 48 hours of signing contract
• Assignments at this facility are limited to 18 consecutive months, followed by a required minimum 6-month break before returning
• Permanent and per diem candidates cannot return to this health system for 1 year from their previous end date
