Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position at a cancer hospital requiring circulating and scrubbing skills across multiple surgical specialties.
Details
- Operating Room unit in a cancer hospital and research setting
- Day/Evening rotating schedule combining 8, 10, and 12-hour shifts to total 40 hours per week
- Shift options include 06:30-17:00, 06:30-19:00, or 10:30-20:30
- Call required as needed, including evening, night, and weekend call shifts
- Weekend coverage required as needed
- EPIC charting system experience required
- Circulate and scrub experience preferred
Requirements
- Active OH or compact RN license required in hand at time of submission
- Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room experience required
- Oncology experience required
- BLS certification required
- ACLS and CNOR certifications preferred
- EPIC experience required
- Teaching hospital experience preferred
- Nursing education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- 2 professional references required, with at least one from a Manager/Director or Supervisor and the second from a Charge RN or higher (no coworker references accepted)
Additional Information
- Provide circulating and scrubbing support across a wide range of surgical specialties including neuro, thoracic, ENT, orthopedics, general surgery, plastics, urology, GU/GYN, free flaps, and robotics (Da Vinci)
- Experience with robotic surgery systems (Da Vinci SP and Xi) preferred
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and maintain accurate records in EPIC
- Candidates must complete Ohio fingerprinting requirements urgently upon signing contract, with in-state travel to a fingerprinting location required if within driving distance
- RTO must be submitted with application and built into the contract, limited to 7 days or less
- Local candidates accepted at the same rate
- Former employees eligible for travel assignment after 6 months away from the facility
- Current employees of Ohio State University hospital locations are ineligible for travel assignments
