Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Case Management/Utilization Review position requiring a minimum of 2 years of RN experience, Epic proficiency, and prior acute hospital background across multiple specialties.

Details

• Acute hospital setting, Case Management/Utilization Review unit
• Day shift, Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
• Patient caseload ratio of 1:30
• Epic EMR required
• Responsibilities include discharge planning, needs assessment, ordering DME, and plan of care coordination
• Travelers may be floated to any campus within the health system as needed

Requirements

• Active NC or Compact RN license, must be in hand at time of consideration
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Prior acute hospital experience required, including experience in ICU, MS, SDU, PCU, IMC, or Obs specialties
• Previous charge nurse experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Experience with CMS/regulatory compliance required
• Skills in discharge planning, needs assessment, DME ordering, and plan of care development required
• 2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Current driver's license required
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Additional Information

• All RNs must pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam during compliance, with two attempts allowed; study materials are not provided by the facility, so candidates should prepare in advance
• Orientation includes non-billable unit-based modules averaging 2–4 hours
• Any requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at the time of application; no RTO requests will be accepted after submission
• Third-party education verification is required; degrees from schools on the Florida Diploma Fraud Audit list will not be accepted
• No open background cases permitted
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
