Description

American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer for a Non-Invasive Cardiology department, requiring ARDMS or RCS certification and at least 1 year of echocardiography experience.

Details

• Non-Invasive Cardiology department in a regional hospital setting
• Performs a variety of diagnostic cardiac and vascular ultrasound exams under physician direction
• 4x10-hour day shifts, 40 hours per week
• On-call obligations shared on nights, weekends, and holidays with a required 30-minute response time
• Epic used for charting

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience in echocardiography or cardiac sonography
• Active ARDMS (RDCS) or RCS (CCI) certification required
• BLS certification through AHA required — must not expire prior to start date
• High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred
• Experience in cardiac ultrasound (echocardiography) preferred
• Must live within 30 minutes of the facility to fulfill on-call obligations
• License required if applicable
• DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Performs cardiac and vascular ultrasound procedures, reviews patient history, selects appropriate protocols, and ensures quality diagnostic imaging for physician review
• Responsible for documenting and communicating patient information, coordinating image preparation, and ensuring safe shift handoffs
• Monitors equipment reliability, reports maintenance needs, and maintains a clean and stocked work environment
• Participates in quality initiatives including patient satisfaction and workflow improvement
• Former permanent staff must have been separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
