Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Home Health PACE (Program for All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) position serving a geriatric end-of-life patient population on a Mon–Fri day schedule.
Details
- Home health setting within a PACE (Program for All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) and hospice program serving frail seniors and individuals with terminal illness
- Patient population is geriatric, with a focus on palliative and end-of-life care
- Typical caseload is approximately 5–7 patients per day (to be confirmed during interview)
- Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (5x8-hour shifts)
- Territory covers up to a 60-mile radius from the hub/office; flexibility with territory is expected
- EMR: WellSky/MyUnity
- No on-call requirements
Requirements
- Active FL or Compact RN license required and must be in hand
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience required
- Candidates must be comfortable working with palliative and end-of-life patients
Additional Information
- Provides comprehensive in-home nursing care to frail elderly and terminally ill patients, with an emphasis on comfort and quality of life
- Timely documentation and communication are required; charting is completed on a facility-provided iPad
- Mileage is reimbursed at the IRS standard rate
- Scrubs in any color are required; jeans are not permitted
- No personal cell phone use on the job; an iPad is provided by the facility
- Orientation includes 16 hours of virtual modules completed over two days
- THC drug screening is required; medical marijuana cards may be accepted depending on applicable state laws
- No time off is permitted during the first two weeks or during orientation; all time-off requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration
- Local candidates are accepted and eligible for the travel rate
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
