Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology RN for a teaching hospital assignment requiring CA RN license, BSN, and procedural sedation experience.

Details

• Interventional Radiology unit within an academic teaching hospital setting
• Patient population includes adult acute care patients undergoing diagnostic imaging and IR procedures
• Performs procedural sedation and pacemaker interrogation
• Day shift schedule with 4x10 hour shifts, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM
• Ability to float to other UCSF facilities as needed within a 75+ mile radius
• Epic EMR system used

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• BSN required
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Radiology experience required
• Adult acute care experience required
• Experience with diagnostic imaging, IR procedures, procedural sedation, and pacemaker interrogation required
• Teaching hospital experience required
• Experience in ICU, ED, PACU, or a procedural area preferred
• Radiology Imaging Nursing certification preferred
• PALS certification preferred
• Two references from most recent employer required at time of consideration
• Completed references required in hand at time of consideration

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care for patients undergoing interventional radiology and diagnostic imaging procedures
• Administer and monitor conscious sedation and manage reversal agents as needed
• Support rapid response and emergency care situations, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Perform IV therapy, phlebotomy, and maintain IV access
• Adhere to CDC standard precautions and isolation/PPE protocols
• Communicate and monitor sedated patients through verbal and visual contact
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travel positions
• All RTO must be disclosed at time of consideration and approved by the manager at time of offer; no additional RTO requests accepted mid-contract and RTO cannot fall within the first two weeks of the assignment
• Any prior employment with University of California medical facilities or their acquired facilities must be disclosed for rehire eligibility review
• Travel pairs allowed but generally not placed on the same unit; married couples may not work on the same unit
