Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Medical ICU (MICU) position in Wichita, KS, requiring at least 1 year of acute care ICU experience and current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke certifications.

Details

• Medical ICU (MICU) setting in a hospital environment on the 4th floor
• 26-bed unit staffed by approximately 65 team members, including RNs, Charge RNs, and PCTs
• Patient ratio is 2:1
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 13-week contract
• CRRT equipment used on the unit
• EMR: Meditech/CPN (experience preferred but not required)

Requirements

• Active KS or compact RN license required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale — AHA or ARC accepted; no certifications may expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start
• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care ICU RN experience in a hospital setting
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• One professional reference required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Preferred skills include prior Meditech experience, Sono IV, and CRRT experience
• Experience traveling to large trauma facilities is a plus
• Typical procedures include moderate sedation, hemodynamic monitoring, and airway management
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
