Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU/SICU RN for a travel position requiring a KS or compact RN license and at least 1 year of recent acute care ICU experience.
Details
- Work in a 26-bed ICU/Surgical ICU unit within a hospital setting
- Patient ratios of 1:2, with 1:1 for high acuity patients including post-CABG cases
- Unit is staffed with RNs, a Charge Nurse, and a Patient Care Tech on both day and night shifts
- Specialized equipment used includes balloon pumps, CRRT, hypothermia units, and ECMO
- Performs procedures such as chest tube management, central line care, and medication drip administration
- Cares for trauma, post-CABG, post-TAVR, and general post-surgical ICU patients
- Uses Meditech EMR system
- Scheduled for 7A-7P shifts over a 13-week assignment
Requirements
- Active KS or compact RN license required
- Minimum 1 year of recent acute care hospital ICU experience required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- TNCC certification and prior experience at large trauma facilities preferred
- US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration (Canadian SSNs not accepted)
- Professional references required (2 references for Florida and Missouri, 1 reference for all other states)
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Provide critical care nursing to a diverse ICU population including trauma and post-surgical patients
- Collaborate with a dedicated care team including Charge Nurses and Patient Care Techs
- Ideal candidates are driven, organized, efficient, and maintain a positive, engaged attitude
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this travel position
