Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Surgical ICU position requiring ICU experience and ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.

Details

• Work in a 26-bed Surgical ICU unit
• Staffing includes 13 RNs, 1 charge nurse, and 1 patient care tech per shift
• Patient ratios of 1:2, with 1:1 for high acuity patients including post-CABG
• Cares for trauma, post-CABG, post-TAVR, and general post-surgical ICU patients
• Performs procedures including chest tubes, central lines, and medication drips
• Uses specialized equipment including balloon pumps, CRRT, hypothermia units, and ECMO
• Utilizes Meditech EMR system
• Night shift schedule from 7p-7a
• 13-week assignment length

Requirements

• Active KS or compact RN license
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 1 year of current hospital ICU experience required
• TNCC certification preferred
• Prior experience at large trauma facilities preferred
